In recent months, ABP Marine Environmental Research (ABPmer) a leading marine environmental consultancy has welcomed new members of staff across all specialist teams.
Paul Bowerman has joined ABPmer as a senior consultant in the Modelling Team with over eight year’s offshore consultancy experience. Paul will be supporting our services to the nuclear and carbon capture storage sectors.
Alice Bowles has joined the Environment Team as an Assistant Researcher. Alice will be contributing to a wide range of different ABPmer projects, she has recently been working on the development of a major national and international stakeholder database for use by Government agencies during the UK Marine Protected Areas Network planning process.
Ben Carroll joins ABPmer as a Researcher within the Processes Team, after undertaking research for a PhD on the “Morphodynamic Impacts of a Tidal Barrage in the Mersey Estuary” at the University of Liverpool. Ben’s understanding of sediment transport is already being applied to the managed realignment projects.
Nicola Dewey joins the GIS and Data Team with over ten years commercial and research experience, primarily in marine dispersal modelling and hydrographic survey work. Nicola has also worked as a hydrographic surveyor carrying out bathymetric, geophysical and oceanographic surveys, data processing, analysis and chart production.
Nadine Warken is an experienced GIS analyst and joins the GIS and Data Team from Worthing Borough Council. Her skills include spatial analysis, data presentation; database management and maintenance, management and customisation of webGIS platforms. Nadine will be working principally on managed realignment projects and related webGIS platforms.
