In recent months, ABP Marine Environmental Research (ABPmer) has welcomed six new members of staff to their offices in Southampton.
Anthony Brooks has taken a seat within the processes team. He brings with him specialist knowledge of sea-level change having just completed his PhD at Trinity College, Dublin. Anthony will be working on Farlington Marshes managed realignment project and the port of Southampton dredge.
Daniel Dunstone has joined the data management team from London Borough of Hackney, where his advanced GIS skills helped to improve operations within the waste services industry. In his new role at ABPmer, he will be concentrating on data management.
David Lambkin has joined the modelling team where he is contributing to a variety of projects throughout the ABPmer consultancy and research spectrum. David was formerly working as a post-doctoral research fellow at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton in collaboration with a number of commercial partners. David brings with him a strong background in oceanography and sediment transport using a variety of theoretical, numerical, laboratory and field techniques.
Philip Ray has joined the data management team from the Welsh Assembly Government where he has developed his GIS analytical skills in the themes of agriculture, nature conservation, rural development, and land use policy. In his new role he will be further developing and sharing these skills with colleagues within the team.
Toni Butler was persuaded to re-join the admin team after leaving 10 years ago to have a family. She has been recruited to help update the library working towards a paperless office.
Tracey Hewett has been appointed Sales and Marketing Manager. She will take an outward focused role within the marketing team. Previously Tracey was the manager of the Solent Forum, one of the oldest coastal partnerships in the UK, she therefore brings with her a strong background in integrated coastal zone management and stakeholder engagement.
