JDRF Sponsored Walk
ABPmer is delighted to be taking part in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) sponsored walk on 16 September at Itchen Valley Country Park. The event is to raise awareness and money for JDRF who are researching a cure for type 1 diabetes. Approximately 350,000 people in the UK have type 1 diabetes and 20,000 of these are children. There is currently no cure for the condition and the JDRF exists to advance research necessary to find a cure. The chair of the walk is Doug Morrison, Port Director at ABP Southampton and ABP are one of the major sponsors of the event.
ABPmer's seven strong team will be setting out on Sunday September 16th to walk the 5 mile course and raise as much money for the cause as possible. If you would like to donate you can do so online at the following address:
